Are You A Man And Losing Your Hair? 2 Treatment Options Available To Get Your Hair Back Again

Posted on

If you are a man and losing your hair this can be hard to deal with. Fortunately, there are treatment options available to help you get your hair back again. Below are two of these treatments so you can decide what you would like to do.

Men's PRP Rejuvenation Therapy

One option you have is Men's PRP rejuvenation therapy. This is a scalp treatment that uses your blood cells to treat hair loss and to help you heal quicker after the therapy is finished. The blood will help rejuvenate your hair follicles so hair will grow.

The treatment center first takes a small amount of your blood from an area of your body, such as your arm, and then places the blood in a centrifuge. The centrifuge separates the platelets in the blood, which are rich In plasma, and then inject the platelets into different areas of your scalp where you are losing hair.

This procedure is generally not painful as the doctor will use a type of topical anesthetic to numb the area before the injections. You may feel some pain after the procedure is finished but the pain will not be great. This procedure can be done in the office and requires no hospital stay.

Hair Grafting

Hair grafting is also known as hair transplant. This is an outpatient procedure that is generally done in a dermatologist's office by a surgeon. You have the option to be sedated during the procedure or to receive a local anesthetic that is injected into your scalp, which will cause numbness.

With this procedure the surgeon removes small segments of your scalp from the back of your head, and then places these small segments into the top of your head where you are losing hair. Once the transplant is finished, you will have a natural look.

The donor sites are stitched closed. These areas of scalp removal will not be seen by other people as your surrounding hair will cover these areas. When the procedure is complete, the doctor will clean your scalp to prevent infection. The doctor will then cover your scalp with a bandage and gauze. You will go back in about a week or so to have the stitches removed. You may have to have several sessions to achieve the thickness of hair that you want. You will have to wait a couple of months between treatments, however.

Your doctor can go over these two treatments with you and help you decide what would work best for your hair loss problem.
